The center was intended to streamline fiscal procedures, improve document access, and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.

A month later, the Mato Grosso do Sul Legislative Assembly introduced a bill that would require every state‑funded travel expense to be posted publicly with detailed beneficiary, destination, purpose and period information. The proposal followed revelations that federal deputies’ trips to a Supreme Court‑organized conference had cost the treasury about R$330 000, prompting calls for stricter oversight of parliamentary spending.

Together, the two initiatives illustrate a broader push by Brazilian state legislatures to enhance public service delivery and increase fiscal transparency.
