Brazilian student participation in science fairs

Students from different Brazilian regions have achieved recognition at national scientific competitions.

In late September, students and teachers from the Pomerode municipal school system received five awards at the XI Brazilian Fair of Scientific Initiation (FEBIC) held at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Notable projects included research on stingless bee colonies, the ecological role of the Juçara palm, and studies on solar energy sustainability.

By mid-October, students from the Marechal Cordeiro de Farias State School in Rondônia advanced to the XVI Science, Engineering, and Technology Fair (Fetec/MS) in Campo Grande. Their project, ‘EcoDigestor’, earned them a spot at the national event following a first-place win at a regional science and innovation fair organized by the Rondônia State Secretariat of Education.
