Burkina Faso civic resource donations
Overview
Various groups in Burkina Faso have begun donating resources to support presidential initiatives, specifically the Faso Mêbo project and health-focused programs.
In the Yaadga region, artisanal miners contributed approximately 60 million F CFA in supplies, including 300 tonnes of cement, two tricycles, and fuel vouchers for the Faso Mêbo initiative. They also provided an ambulance valued at 20 million F CFA to the Ouahigouya Regional University Hospital to improve healthcare services.
In Tenkodogo, the Bel-Air group donated two tonnes of cement to the Faso Mêbo initiative to assist with infrastructure construction and urban beautification. The group noted that these contributions were made in response to President Ibrahim Traoré’s call for civic engagement.
