Bursa Technical University Erasmus+ EPOSAM project

Overview

Bursa Technical University (BTÜ) has taken a leadership role in the Erasmus+ supported EPOSAM Project. This 36-month initiative aims to promote the use of open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software within the industry.

By securing the highest grant category under the Erasmus+ KA220-VET program, the project seeks to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in reducing research and development costs associated with commercial software licenses. The project also focuses on training students, scientists, and young engineers in the use of open-source tools.

The international consortium includes Aalborg University in Denmark, Esslingen University and Saarland University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and Krakow University of Technology in Poland. Industrial partners include the German firm HyperSys GmbH and the Turkish aerospace company TUSAŞ. A pilot program is set to involve 12 companies and 12 young engineers across Turkey, Germany, Poland, and Denmark.
