Bus accidents in Tamil Nadu

Overview

Fatal road accidents involving buses have been reported in the Tamil Nadu region.

In the Villupuram district, a Mettur Travels bus collided with a truck on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway near Tindivanam. The collision, caused by a truck making a sudden turn, resulted in the death of one passenger and caused a significant traffic jam. Several other passengers sustained minor injuries.

In a separate incident in the Tirunelveli district, a government bus was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry on the Tirunelveli-Thoothukudi highway. This accident killed a bus conductor and injured more than 20 passengers. Local authorities have initiated investigations into both incidents.
