Call of Duty: Warzone cosmetic and anti-cheat updates

Overview

Activision announced the introduction of a client-side ‘Operator Skin Toggle’ for Call of Duty: Warzone, scheduled to debut with the first season of Modern Warfare 4. This feature allows players to replace the diverse or non-military cosmetic skins of teammates and enemies with standardized Modern Warfare 4 operator models to maintain a more grounded aesthetic. The setting will be off by default and will not change how other players perceive the user.

Alongside this visual update, the ‘Carry Forward’ system will remain functional, allowing players to retain access to weapons, skins, and blueprints from previous titles including Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7. Additionally, the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team reported progress in combating the cheating market, noting the closure of 31 major cheat providers and the issuance of over 80 legal cease-and-desist orders.
