Camila Zamorano retains WBC title in Mexico

Overview

Camila ‘La Magnífica’ Zamorano successfully defended her WBC atomweight world championship title for the third time, defeating Perla ‘La Pulga’ Pérez via unanimous decision at the Arena Potosí in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

During the bout, which was part of the “México Tierra de Victorias” tournament, the 18-year-old undefeated boxer from Sonora utilized her reach and precision to control much of the match. Although Pérez applied significant pressure starting in the fifth round, the judges scored the contest 97-93, 98-92, and 98-92 in favor of Zamorano. With this victory, Zamorano maintains her undefeated record, moving to 15 wins and zero losses.

The event, organized by Zanfer Boxing during the Feria Nacional Potosina 2026, also featured appearances by boxing legend Julio César Chávez and a musical performance by Santa Fe Klan.
