Cancer prevention initiatives for women in Vietnam

Various organizations have launched initiatives to improve cancer screening and prevention for women in Vietnam. In September 2026, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo partnered with the Vietnam Women's Union to introduce the ‘Chạm sẻ chia, Trao hy vọng’ (Touch to Share, Give Hope) program. This initiative provides 2,010 free screenings for breast, ovarian, and cervical cancer, specifically targeting vulnerable populations such as low-income workers, single mothers, and ethnic minorities in remote regions including the Northern Delta, South Central Coast, Central Highlands, and Mekong Delta.

Following this, the Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System launched the “For Vietnamese Women - No More Cancer Worries” project in collaboration with local medical facilities and eight international pharmaceutical corporations. This project focuses on proactive prevention and early detection to address high rates of breast and cervical cancers. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Health’s national action plan for 2026–2035, which aims to expand diagnostic and treatment capacities across the country.
