Carlos Rivera tour postponements due to vocal injury

Overview

Mexican singer Carlos Rivera has been forced to adjust his ‘¡Vida México!’ tour due to vocal health issues. Initially, Rivera announced a temporary pause and the postponement of several international dates in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Colombia to allow for one month of absolute rest following a vocal cord injury.

As the situation progressed, it was revealed that Rivera requires vocal cord microsurgery in November. The singer first noticed symptoms during his tour in Spain in July. Despite attempting to manage the condition through specialized rehabilitation and a recent two-week period of total vocal silence, medical professionals determined that surgical intervention is necessary to prevent further complications from a persistent injury to his left vocal cord.

The surgery has forced significant changes to his performance schedule. Several concerts have been rescheduled for 2027, including dates in Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador (moved to May 2027), Costa Rica (moved to April 2027), and Monterrey, Mexico (moved to May 2027). A scheduled performance in Querétaro, Mexico, has been officially canceled. However, upcoming shows in Tlaxcala and Guadalajara will proceed as planned, as they are scheduled to take place before the medical procedure in the second week of November 2026.
