Castilla-La Mancha equality and anti-discrimination measures

The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has implemented several initiatives to promote equality and combat discrimination.

In late July, the Equality Council signed three agreements with major trade unions, including CCOO and UGT, and the regional employers federation Cecam. These accords aim to improve LGBTI equality in the labor market through sensitization campaigns, employability programs, and protocols to address workplace discrimination. The measures utilize the regional Service of Integral LGBTI Attention (SAI LGBTI) for training and mediation rather than new public funding.

By mid-August, the regional government expanded its financial support by granting approximately 255,600 euros toward equality plans. This funding is split between supporting equality plans for entities not legally required to implement them—such as certain city councils and small businesses—and funding projects for non-profit organizations to prevent and combat multiple discrimination, specifically targeting vulnerable women and migrant women.

As of mid-August 2026, the regional government has allocated approximately 255,593 euros to promote equality. These funds support equality plans in small businesses and non-profits, while also financing projects to combat multiple discrimination faced by vulnerable groups, including migrant women and individuals with disabilities.
