Central African and European forest conservation efforts

Overview

Conservation and reforestation efforts are being implemented across various regions to protect ecosystems and combat deforestation.

In Central Africa, initiatives include a workshop in the Maï-Ndombe province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo focused on strengthening forest protection and improving livelihoods through sustainable landscape management. In Cameroon, the CAMERR project has worked to restore approximately 800 hectares of mangroves and plant two million trees to enhance coastal resilience and carbon storage.
