The Central Java delegation achieved significant success at the XXXI National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) in 2026, rising from 16th place in previous competitions to 2nd place nationally with 208 points. The group secured 36 titles, including eight first-place finishes.

To celebrate these achievements and the successful hosting of the event, a ‘Jawa Tengah Bersholawat’ gathering was held at Pancasila Field in Semarang. During the festivities, Governor Ahmad Luthfi presented various rewards to the delegation. First-place winners received Rp50 million in development funds and an Umrah trip valued at Rp50 million, while other tiers received varying cash prizes. Additionally, Baznas Central Java provided Rp282 million in bonuses. Officials noted that the event fostered social tolerance and provided social and economic benefits to the region.
