Chainlink and Bottomline blockchain payment integration
Overview
Chainlink and Bottomline Technologies have partnered to integrate blockchain technology with traditional banking infrastructure. Initially established as a strategic partnership to enable cross-chain and cross-border payments for over 600 banking customers, the collaboration utilizes Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE).
The partnership has progressed from a proof-of-concept to the launch of Global Pay Connect, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. This new service allows financial institutions to adopt real-time payments, digital assets, and tokenized deposits while maintaining compatibility with existing ISO 20022 messaging standards. The platform provides connectivity across major networks such as Swift, SEPA, CHIPS, and Bacs, offering AI-enabled insights and real-time visibility into payment activity.
