Chaminés de Fada tourism in Goiás
Overview
The Chaminés de Fada, rare geological stone towers in Campos Belos, Goiás, are transitioning to official tourism operations. Initially scheduled to open by the end of September 2026, the site has officially opened to the public following two months of operational testing.
To protect the formations from environmental impact, visitation is strictly regulated. Daily access is limited to 50 tourists, organized into groups of up to six people accompanied by mandatory local guides. Visitors must navigate a trail of approximately two to three kilometers and are prohibited from climbing the structures or removing materials.
Access requires advance reservations via an official website. Fees include an entry cost starting at R$ 70 per person, plus a R$ 200 fee per group for the guide. Goiás Turismo is working to integrate the municipality into the Brazilian Tourism Map and promote the site at national and international fairs.
