Charity initiatives in Huétor Tájar

Overview

The municipality of Huétor Tájar has engaged in several charitable initiatives to support local and regional causes.

In late September, a traditional solidarity pilgrimage in honor of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno raised nearly 6,000 euros through a community paella event. The proceeds from this event are designated for Cáritas Parroquiales to assist vulnerable local families.

Following this, the municipality announced a charity gala scheduled for October 2. This event will present funds raised by the ‘Las Sociales Caminando por la Vida’ project, an initiative where five social services professionals walked the Camino de Santiago. The proceeds from that trek will be donated to AUPA (Asociación de Padres y Madres de Niños Oncológicos de Granada) to support children with cancer and their families.
