Child safety incidents in Germany
Overview
In Rülzheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, two toddlers aged two and three were discovered alone at a train station on a Saturday morning. The children, who were wearing only diapers and wrapped in blankets, had reportedly left their nearby home unnoticed while their parents were sleeping.
Upon questioning by police, the children stated they had set out because they wanted to ‘buy new shoes.’ Passersby alerted authorities, and the children were subsequently returned safely to their parents.
