China agricultural technology and innovation development

China is advancing its agricultural sector through the integration of smart technologies and increased international cooperation. In Heilongjiang province, modernization efforts include high-performing seed varieties, advanced mechanization, and digital management platforms. Companies such as Huida Technology are providing drones, navigation systems, and smart irrigation devices, with irrigation systems reportedly capable of reducing manual intervention by up to 80 percent.

On a national level, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council have issued directives to accelerate breakthroughs in core technologies and artificial intelligence, emphasizing scientific self-sufficiency and the role of private companies in national projects. This strategy aligns with the broader economic model of “new quality productive forces.”

China is also expanding its agricultural ties internationally. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between China and Azerbaijan to promote cooperation in digital agriculture, scientific research, and mutual trade. This partnership includes discussions on animal health and modern agrotechnology with entities such as Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group Co., Ltd.
