Overview

The municipal government of Ciudad Juárez has implemented educational support initiatives aimed at assisting university students.

Initially, scholarship applications were opened for Universidad Tecnológica Paso del Norte (UTPN), covering full tuition for the September-December 2026 term for eligible Mexican residents aged 17-29.

This support has expanded into a broader 41.5 million peso investment plan. The program includes university access scholarships and the distribution of school kits containing laptops and other supplies. The initiative has already provided kits to students at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and the Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Juárez (TecNM-ITCJ), with plans to support over 4,000 students across seven public universities in the city.
