Classical music performances by Gustavo Dudamel

Overview

In late July 2026, conductor Gustavo Dudamel led the Vienna Philharmonic in a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 at the Salzburg Festival. Concurrently, violinist Hilary Hahn performed Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 at the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele.

By mid-August, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, also conducted by Dudamel, performed at the Edinburgh International Festival. The program included Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and the Scottish premiere of Gabriela Ortiz’s ‘Revolución diamantina’. This residency served as one of Dudamel’s final appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic before his transition to the New York Philharmonic.
