Overview
Perth-based ClearVue Technologies has achieved several milestones regarding its building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products.
In early August, the company announced that its ClearVue-Helios rooftop solar panels received approval from the Clean Energy Council (CEC) in Australia. This certification confirms the panels meet international safety and performance standards, enabling them to connect to the Australian electricity grid and qualify for government renewable-energy incentives.
By late August, ClearVue reported a manufacturing breakthrough for its Gen 3 Vision Glass. The company successfully applied a low-emissivity (Low-E) metallic coating to the inner pane of its energy-generating glass units using a magnetron sputter-coating process. According to CEO Doug Hunt, this advancement allows the solar glass to meet standard commercial building façade specifications by controlling solar heat gain while maintaining energy generation and visible light transmittance.
