Barranquilla’s public health network, MiRed IPS, received first place in the ‘Population’ category at the 11th Latin American Forum on Quality and Safety in Health in São Paulo, Brazil. The award recognized the network’s research on maternal-perinatal care for migrant populations.

Domestically, the Colombian Ministry of Health has confirmed resource allocations for regional hospital projects. In Risaralda, funding is secured for the construction of the High Complexity Regional Hospital in Pereira. Additionally, in Ibagué, 63,000 million pesos have been secured for the Materno Infantil Hospital project, with 18,900 million pesos already transferred to support the initiative.
