Overview

Simultaneously, in Nariño, four individuals were arrested for allegedly rigging at least eight contracts in a regional compensation fund through simulated bidding and inflated costs, involving roughly 9.804 billion pesos.

Subsequent investigations by the Fiscalía General de la Nación have broadened the scope to include the Sierra Nevada Mixed Fund for Infrastructure, Integral Development, and Social Management. This probe examines a suspected network potentially influencing approximately 480 contracts valued at over 3 trillion pesos across at least 19 departments. Former Boyacá governor Ramiro Barragán Adame is among those under investigation, alongside several other former and current governors from regions including Amazonas, Magdalena, Vaupés, Guaviare, and Vichada.
