Community and zoo activities in Germany

Local community groups in Germany have engaged in various social and organizational activities. In the Lindau district, daycare providers visited Rapunzel-Welt in Legau to learn about company history and professional values. In a recent annual excursion, 16 daycare providers used the visit to exchange professional experiences and strengthen social bonds.

In Rommerskirchen, the association ‘Heimat + Historie – NE-BU 962’ hosted its fifth senior café at the Gillbach-Schänke. Approximately 40 participants, including residents aged 75 and older, attended the event, which featured a historical photo presentation by Hans-Josef Huthmacher. Deputy Mayor Bianka Ulanio-Mischtal attended the gathering and commended the association’s commitment to the elderly population in Nettesheim and Butzheim.

In Heilbronn-Sontheim, seniors from the ASB daycare center visited Leintalzoo in Schwaigern for an excursion involving animal observation and communal dining. Other regional developments include Zoo Schwerin announcing a volunteer autumn cleaning event for November 2026, and Zoo Neuwied promoting animal and tree sponsorship programs to support its grounds and wildlife.
