Community development and legal assistance initiatives

Overview

Various regional initiatives have been launched to improve access to services and community leadership in Chile, Mexico, and Argentina.

In Chile, efforts include the ‘Plaza de Justicia’ in Iquique, a program providing free legal guidance and access to state services such as the Public Defender's Office and the Civil Registry. Additionally, SENDA Previene certified 17 community leaders in Iquique to assist with local needs and resource management in sectors like Rubén Godoy and El Morro.

In Mexico, the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila in Saltillo is expanding its ‘Juris te Orienta’ program, moving from general legal orientation toward comprehensive case accompaniment to provide closer follow-up for citizens.

In Argentina, the company EXAR has introduced training programs in the Jujuy Puna region, including the Leadership for Sustainable Development Program and the Empowerment and Comprehensive Sexual Education Network (REE Sí!). These programs aim to provide tools for negotiation and project management across several communities, such as Susques and Olaroz Chico.
