Community education and vocational initiatives

Overview

Community-based educational and vocational programs have been implemented in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. In the Dominican Republic, the community of Los Ciruelos in Baitoa celebrated the completion of a basic broadcasting course, ‘Descubriendo mi voz’, which is part of a broader effort to provide youth with professional tools through the School of Art and Leisure.

In Mexico, Los Cabos launched the binational program ‘Puentes de Amistad, Conectando Fronteras’. This initiative focuses on bilingual education and digital inclusion through a collaboration with Alameda County, California. The program includes the donation of laptops to local primary and secondary schools to facilitate real-time cultural and linguistic exchanges between students in Los Cabos and those in California.
