Various contemporary art exhibitions are scheduled across Germany and Austria during late 2026.
In August, artist Caspar Nii Armah concludes ‘THE JOURNEY’ in Hamburg with a final event titled ‘ausARTen’. The work involves a process of transformation where painted surfaces are cut, torn, and burned to create ash for new pieces. Simultaneously, Galerie ART IST in Klagenfurt hosts ‘AKTuelles’, an exhibition featuring Karl Nackler’s large-scale chalk and pastel depictions and Marlis Lepicnik’s stylized works, including a large tapestry woven in Nepal.
By late September, new exhibitions are set to open in different venues. The Kunstverein Eisenstadt will inaugurate a new long-term space in the former Mayr Gasthaus with ‘Das Gasthaus – Vom Sichtbaren und Unsichtbaren’, an exhibition by Hannah Neckel, Eva Seiler, and Raphaela Riepl that explores the history and social functions of the former inn. In Wasserburg, Germany, the art association AK 68 presents ‘Doppelblick’ at the ‘Alte Polizei’ former police station, featuring works by Cornelia Hesse and Uli Schmid.
