Overview

South Korean rapper Yang Hong Won, also known as Young B, married model Won Hyun Joo in a private ceremony in Seoul on October 18, 2026. The couple had been in a relationship since approximately 2017.

Five days after the wedding, allegations of infidelity surfaced via social media. An individual, identified as person A, claimed that Yang visited a motel with another woman shortly before his marriage, providing purported call logs and messages as evidence. Yang’s agency, AP Alchemy, issued a formal denial, stating that while Yang and a female acquaintance did enter a motel, no romantic or physical intimacy occurred. The agency claimed the situation arose because Yang was intoxicated and the woman had nowhere else to go after being pressured to leave a previous location. AP Alchemy further alleged that person A attempted to extort money from the parties involved and only released edited materials after demands were not met.

The woman involved in the motel visit also released a statement claiming she was a victim of the accuser’s extortion attempt, stating that she and Yang slept separately. Yang, the woman, and AP Alchemy have filed criminal complaints against person A for extortion, defamation, and violations of the Stalking Punishment Act.

Following the initial controversy, new allegations of drug use emerged. An individual claiming to be a long-time fan stated on social media that they possess information regarding drug use, including photos and locations. In response to the escalating situation, the YouTube channel ‘Yang Hong-won’s Parenting Diary,’ which features the couple and their daughter, has temporarily disabled comments. During a recent performance in Seoul, Yang was observed singing lyrics referencing his wife amidst the ongoing public scrutiny.
