Copa Airlines expansion to Margarita Island
Overview
Copa Airlines has announced the launch of a new commercial route between Panama and Porlamar on Margarita Island, scheduled to begin operations on November 26. The service will consist of three weekly flights, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
This expansion marks the airline’s sixth destination in Venezuela. The new route is intended to connect Margarita Island to more than 50 international destinations via the Hub of the Americas, including various cities in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
To promote the service, the airline organized a “Mega Fam Trip” involving approximately 150 travel agencies, wholesalers, influencers, and industry executives to showcase the island’s tourism potential. The airline also highlighted its ‘Panama Stopover’ program, which allows passengers to visit Panama for 24 hours to 15 days at no extra cost.
