Overview

Copenhagen has implemented initiatives to provide free cultural access to children and the public. The municipality re-introduced the ‘En Til Alle’ (One for All) programme, which allocates DKK 1.4 million for 2026 to allow approximately 30,000 children from schools and day-care centres to attend professional theatre performances at no cost. These include puppet shows such as ‘Arnarulunnguaq – den store lille kvinde’ at the Tingbjerg Library and Culture House, as well as the Valby Days festival, which features free performing arts, interactive street theatre, and circus performances.
