Coptic Church educational outreach in Egypt

In late July 2026, Pope Tawadros II led the first Logos Junior conference at the St. Anba Bishoy Monastery, gathering around 180 children for eight days of cultural, religious and patriotic activities. The Pope used the event to stress love for the nation, faith and service, presenting the youngsters as ambassadors of compassion.

A few days later, the Pope convened a two‑day meeting with leaders of Coptic schools at the Logos Center in the same monastery. Representatives from 35 schools reviewed the Secretariat’s recent work and explored a shared educational vision, with the Pope urging teachers to act as ambassadors of Christ. The meeting highlighted the continuity of the Church’s push to strengthen education and national identity among Coptic youth.

Together, the events illustrate an ongoing initiative by the Coptic Orthodox Church to combine religious instruction with civic pride, targeting both children and educators across Egypt.
