COROS DURA 2 SOLAR product launch
Overview
COROS has unveiled the DURA 2 SOLAR, the second generation of its GPS bike computer designed for long-distance riding and bikepacking. The device features a 3.5-inch Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) touchscreen, which is a 30% increase in size over the previous model. The hardware includes a carbon-fiber backplate and an aluminum-alloy bezel, resulting in a total weight of 99 grams.
A primary feature is the integrated solar panel, which the manufacturer claims can potentially add up to two hours of use for every one hour of direct sunlight exposure. Battery life is rated at up to 120 hours in standard GPS mode and 70 hours in dual-frequency mode. The device utilizes physical side buttons, haptic face buttons, and voice control, moving away from the rotating dial used in the original model. It also supports offline navigation and various cycling sensors.
