Crans-Montana nightclub fire

Overview

A fatal fire occurred at the ‘Le Constellation’ bar in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana during New Year’s Eve celebrations. The incident, which involved a group of teenagers gathered in a small room, resulted in 41 deaths and 115 injuries.

Early reports noted several injuries, including a 16-year-old Italian boy, Manfredi Marcucci, who suffered burns to his neck, back, and arms.

In the months following the tragedy, survivors have undergone intensive medical treatment. Leonardo Bove, a 16-year-old from Milan who suffered burns to approximately 60% of his body, was discharged from Niguarda Hospital after seven months of hospitalization and rehabilitation. Bove, who was transferred to Milan for specialized care, stated, “I saw my life slip away in one night, I don't want to lose it anymore.”
