Córdoba digital parking rollout
Entities: Super Deportivo · Forja · Municipality of Córdoba · Policía Municipal de Tránsito · Cooperativa MTN
Overview
In late July 2026 Córdoba’s municipal authorities piloted a Measured Parking system during a high‑attendance football match at the Julio César Villagra stadium. Over 1,000 payments were recorded, mostly via the SEMM mobile app, and police, urban guard and drones enforced the zone, detaining illegal collectors and towing vehicles. Officials highlighted the system’s potential to self‑manage public space.
A week later, the city announced that on 1 August controlled‑parking zones would be activated in the Forja neighbourhood. The new zones operate overnight, charge AR$2,250 per hour, and require payment exclusively through QR codes or the SEMM app, with cash prohibited. Municipal traffic police and provincial forces will enforce compliance and address illegal charging.
Together, the pilot and the subsequent ordinance illustrate Córdoba’s shift toward digitally managed, app‑based parking enforcement across the city.
