Overview

Police in Jakarta Barat arrested a couple, identified by the initials R and E, for the suspected killing and disposal of their newborn baby. The incident took place in the Keagungan area of Tamansari.

According to Tamansari Metro Police Chief Kompol Bobby M. Zulfikar, the couple allegedly killed the female infant immediately after birth by covering the baby’s mouth to stop it from crying. The victim was reportedly wrapped in a blanket, placed in a cardboard box, and then inside a gunny sack before being buried in a collapsed, roofless building.
