Criminal investigations into fatal attacks in Guinea

Separate criminal investigations have been launched in Guinea following the fatal deaths of two women.

In Maferinyah, authorities are investigating the death of Mariame Sylla, whose body was found under a bridge with multiple injuries. Condé, a soldier, has been detained and questioned by investigators.

In the Mandiana prefecture, an investigation is underway regarding the fatal stabbing of Sogbé Diallo in Kantoumanina. Her family reports that the attack was an ambush by her former fiancé, following the cancellation of their marriage plans. The suspect fled the scene after attacking the victim and her sisters, and authorities are currently attempting to locate him.
