Croatian Army basic military training competitions
Overview
The Croatian Ministry of Defence has conducted evaluations for recent generations of basic military training. In mid-October, a competition for the third generation of training took place at the 123rd Brigade barracks in Požega, where recruits were assessed on physical readiness, motor skills, and written exams. Marin Delač and Lucija Boras were recognized as the top male and female recruits, respectively.
By late October, the focus shifted to specialist infantry and armored training at the Gašinci military training ground. This intensive eight-week program concluded with tactical exercises simulating modern battlefield conditions, including the use of FPV drones. Maria Dianežević-Bašić was named the top trainee, marking the first time a woman has received this distinction in this specific training branch.
