Croatian regional agricultural and rural development funding
Overview
Local authorities in Croatia have initiated various financial support programs aimed at bolstering rural sectors and managing environmental and land-use challenges.
In Krapina-Zagorje County, funds totaling approximately 41,777 euros were allocated to 25 winegrowers to purchase vine seedlings. This measure seeks to restore vineyards impacted by drought, hail, and the spread of Flavescence dorée. Similarly, in Sinj, approximately 145,000 euros were contracted to support 89 family farms to strengthen domestic production and food self-sufficiency.
In Vukovar-Srijem County, roughly 45,000 euros were allocated to improve hunting conditions through the renovation of lodges and technical facilities. Meanwhile, Bjelovar-Bilogora County launched a program offering subsidies for hunting infrastructure, such as shooting ranges, as well as funds for increasing wildlife stocks and protecting agricultural crops through repellents and fencing.
