Culinary and agricultural promotional events in Japan

Overview

Various culinary and agricultural promotional events have been announced across Japan.

In late August, plans were released for the 16th annual Diners Club French Restaurant Week, scheduled from September 18 to October 18, 2026. Over 500 restaurants nationwide will participate under the theme “Sustainable French,” emphasizing environmental consciousness, seasonal ingredients, and waste reduction. Additionally, the Nagoya Tokyu Hotel announced a weekend bistro buffet running from September 5 to November 3.

In September, regional agricultural initiatives were also highlighted. Fukushima Prefecture and local municipalities will host the ‘Organic Fukushima Marche in FUTAKO TAMAGAWA’ in Tokyo on September 19 and 20 to promote organic produce. Concurrently, Saga Prefecture will hold an exhibition for the ‘Fumiya’ regional brand from September 17 to 29, showcasing high-quality local goods to connect producers with consumers.
