Cultural activities and digital tourism in Karlovy Vary

Overview

Karlovy Vary has hosted several cultural events and implemented new digital infrastructure to support regional tourism and local engagement.

In September, the city held the 43rd JazzFest Karlovy Vary, which featured international musicians and commemorated the centennials of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Simultaneously, the ‘Vary září’ light festival celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Karlovy Vary Spa Triangle’s UNESCO listing through various light installations and audiovisual shows.

Following these events, the Karlovy Vary Region launched ‘Kam na západě’, a digital event calendar designed to centralize information on concerts, exhibitions, and festivals. The 1.14 million CZK portal aims to consolidate previously scattered event data to better serve both residents and tourists.
