Cultural and art events in Italy

Overview

Various cultural and art events are being held across Italy. In early September 2026, immersive installations were featured in Palermo at the Museo Riso, focusing on themes of ritual and devotion, and in Turin at the Museo d’Arte Urbana, which explored neurodivergence through multisensory stimuli.

Later in the month, new initiatives were announced, including the ‘Palermo dal Mare’ event scheduled for September 26 to showcase the city’s maritime heritage. Additionally, painter Giuseppe De Palma is set to present a solo exhibition, ‘Guilty, Allegories of Human Condition’, beginning in Terlizzi in October 2026 before moving to Florence in early 2027.

On September 25, 2026, the Disability Pride Puglia 2026 event took place in Foggia. Organized by a network of associations, families, and individuals with disabilities and neurodivergence, the demonstration included an accessible walk through the city center to highlight physical barriers. Participants utilized slogans such as ‘Accessibility is not charity, it is citizenship’ to advocate for autonomy and social inclusion. The event concluded with workshops at Campi Diomedei regarding disability reform and the ‘Project of Life’, attended by the Puglia Region's disability rights guarantor.
