Cultural and community events in Bogotá

Bogotá has hosted various community-focused events throughout late 2026. In late September, the city held the 19th edition of ‘Semana de la Bicicleta’ (Bicycle Week), integrated with ‘Semana de la Seguridad Vial’ (Road Safety Week), promoting urban mobility and social inclusion.

Throughout October and November, the city’s cultural and gastronomic calendar expanded. The Bogotá Gourmet festival featured over 80 restaurants offering tiered menus. Seasonal Halloween activities included free children’s programming organized by Idartes, the ‘Festival del Terror’ at Salitre Mágico, and the ‘Misterio International Halloween Festival’.

Entrepreneurship and local production remained central themes. The tenth edition of ‘Oktoberfest Artesanal X’ featured over 40 independent Colombian breweries, live music, and a commitment to sustainability by eliminating single-use plastics. Additionally, a festival at the Gran Estación Shopping Center involved approximately 60 local businesses focused on gastronomy, fashion, and craft beer.

Looking toward November, the city scheduled the first edition of the ‘Festival Carranguero’ for November 7 and 8, which aims to celebrate traditional Colombian peasant music through free concerts in Engativá and La Media Torta.
