Cultural and educational programming for children
Overview
Cultural and educational initiatives for children have been launched in Portugal and Brazil. In Portugal, schools and nurseries are being offered Christmas theater productions, such as ‘O Grande Circo’ at the Centro Cultural de Carnide and the ‘Garfield Musical’ in Estoril.
In Santos, Brazil, the Biblioteca CEU das Artes has introduced a weekly storytelling program in partnership with ‘Vovô Sabe Tudo’ to promote reading. Additionally, the Santos Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Santos) has updated its ‘Turminha do Trânsito’ puppet theater to focus on traffic safety, empathy, and inclusion by featuring diverse characters, including those representing Black individuals, elderly people, and people with autism.
