In Harghita County, the fifth edition of the ‘Taste of Transylvania’ food festival is set for September 3 to 6 at the Boroș Ethnographic Museum and Holiday Village. The event features nearly 50 gastronomic locations from Romania, Transylvania, and Hungary, with a theme centered on mountain meadows and traditional haymaking. This festival supports Harghita County’s bid to become the European Region of Gastronomy in 2027.
Following this, the Weinfest festival will take place in Mediaș from September 18 to 20 at Castle Square. Now in its ninth year, the event focuses on wine tastings from Romanian wineries and live music as part of a broader tourism strategy to promote Mediaș as a ‘Nucleus of Transylvania’. The festival has developed international partnerships, including connections with the Hermann Oberth Foundation in Germany.
