Cultural festivals and concerts in the Netherlands

Various musical and cultural festivals are scheduled across the Netherlands for late summer and autumn 2026.

In late August, the Klassiek in het Park festival in Rotterdam features a diverse program including symphonic concerts, chamber music, and Latin American music. The Sinfonia Rotterdam, led by conductor Conrad van Alphen, is scheduled to perform works such as Handel’s ‘Music for the Royal Fireworks’. The musical duo Tangarine, consisting of twins Arnout and Sander Brinks, is set to present their new album, ‘Family Tradition’, at the De Pinkenberg open-air theater in Rozendaal on August 29, utilizing the outdoor setting for their first live performance with a full band.

Regional events in early September include bi-weekly film evenings at De Plataan in the Meppel region and a walk for World Suicide Prevention Week in Staphorst. The ‘Knock-out’ traveling show is scheduled for final appearances in Alteveer-Kerkenveld, Dedemsvaart, Wijk/IJhorst, Ruinen, and Veeningen. In the Lekstroom region, Houten will host an outdoor cinema screening of a Michael Jackson documentary and a traditional activities market, while Nieuwegein features an open house at theater De Kom and a literary afternoon at Fort Jutphaas. Lopik will also host a food forest day in Velics Natuurbos.

Other scheduled events include Studio Ambacht in Essen on August 30, and various festivities in Haaksbergen throughout September. Moving into late September and October, the Trinitatiskapel in Dordrecht will host organ concerts, the Rheder Markt will feature a horse market and dragon boat racing on September 20 and 21, and Gouda will host the Zotte Zaterdag festival on October 17.
