Cultural festivals in Ceará, Brazil
Overview
The state of Ceará hosted several major cultural events in late 2026. In September, the 16th edition of the Semana Dança Cariri International Festival commenced in Juazeiro do Norte and Crato. Under the theme ‘Dançar é reescrever histórias’ (To dance is to rewrite stories), the 10-day event offered 28 free activities, including workshops and performances by artists from various Brazilian states and international guests from Chile and Mexico.
Following this, the 36th Cine Ceará – Ibero-American Film Festival was announced for November.
