Cultural festivals in Togo

Overview

Togo is preparing for several major cultural events. The 11th Festival des Divinités Noires is scheduled for January 21 to 24, 2027, in Aného and the sacred forest of Glidji. Organized by the Association des Connaissances Fondées dans l’Identité Noire (Acofin), the festival celebrates Guin spiritual traditions and aims to connect African traditions with Afro-descendant communities. Côte d’Ivoire will be the guest of honor for the 2027 edition, with participation expected from Brazil.

In Lomé, two other festivals are approaching. The 13th edition of the Émergence Festival will run from November 2 to November 11, 2026, focusing on cinema and professional development through partnerships with French film professionals. Following this, the second Instant T Festival will take place from November 27 to December 13, 2026, highlighting African creative industries, digital arts, and e-gaming.
