Cultural heritage projects in Pula

Overview

Various cultural initiatives have been held in Pula to promote diaspora heritage and language. In mid-October 2026, the 14th annual Brazil Days featured programs focused on language, ecology, and ethnomusicology, including Portuguese workshops and exhibitions regarding Croatian embroidery in Brazil.

Following this, the ‘Collage of Macedonian Culture – Flavors and Spaces of Macedonia and Istria’ project took place from October 16 to 18. This initiative involved students from across Croatia and aimed to strengthen knowledge of the Macedonian language and explore connections between Macedonian and Istrian cultural heritage through city tours and historical site visits.
