Cultural heritage restoration in Argentina and Venezuela

Overview

Restoration and preservation efforts are underway for various historical and cultural sites in Argentina and Venezuela.

In Argentina, projects include structural repairs to the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Cathedral in Formosa to address humidity and water infiltration, as well as the restoration of the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Chapel in Tucumán to preserve its 1797 ceramic brick elements and architectural heritage. Additionally, the provincial government in Tucumán is refurbishing the Archivo General de la Provincia to safeguard documentary memory and improve facility efficiency.

In Venezuela, the Alejandro Borges stadium in Maracaibo is undergoing rehabilitation and modernization. This project includes the establishment of the Luis Aparicio Montiel Museum, which will house approximately 270 historical pieces, and the construction of a pedestrian boulevard to honor emblematic athletes from the Zulia state.
