CUSAEM administrative and financial reforms
Overview
The Auxiliary Security Bodies of the State of Mexico (CUSAEM) has undergone a period of administrative and financial restructuring. During its 80th anniversary, the organization highlighted progress in professionalization and infrastructure alongside a significant financial burden, specifically an 8 billion peso debt owed to ISSEMyM.
Following these challenges, CUSAEM implemented several labor reforms and structural improvements for its more than 22,000 members. These measures included a 56.39% salary increase for operational personnel in the ‘Guardia C’ category and the establishment of a 500,000 peso life insurance policy.
To address long-standing issues, the organization expanded its medical facilities and worked toward settling historical salary debts for retirees. Efforts were also directed at regularizing accumulated tax debts with the SAT and resolving outstanding obligations with ISSEMyM through coordination with the State of Mexico government.
