Czech-Slovak Lanžhot-Brodské bridge reconstruction
Overview
Czech and Slovak road administrators have agreed to reconstruct a bridge on road II/425 located between Lanžhot and Brodské. The Czech side has obtained a building permit and is finalizing documentation, while the Slovak side expects to receive its permit in October.
The two nations will jointly select a contractor, with the Czech side leading the procurement process to manage differences in legislation, currency, and VAT requirements. The project is estimated to cost 205 million CZK and is scheduled to begin in 2027. The bridge has been closed since January of the previous year due to an emergency condition caused by prior flooding.
